Stop Kidney Dialysis, Ayurvedic Treatment | Dr. Puneet Dhawan.

What is kidney dialysis treatment?

Kidney dialysis treatment is given to the patients whose kidneys are not working well as they should. Dialysis is a machinery substitute to the kidneys whose main job is to filter the excess waste and fluid from the blood. Dialysis helps to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in the blood when a person has developed an end-stage renal disease or kidney failure. However, dialysis isn’t a cure for kidney disease or other problems affecting the kidneys. You may need other treatments like Ayurveda to address the condition of the kidneys. Dr. Puneet Dhawan Reviews

The different types of kidney dialysis treatment

Dialysis can be of different types, such as:

Hemodialysis

It is the common type of dialysis that is done usually. The process uses an artificial kidney to remove waste from the blood. The filtered blood is then loaded into the body with the help of a dialysis machine. To get the blood to the machine, surgery is performed to create an entry point into your blood vessels. The three types of entrance point created are:

  1. Arteriovenous (AV) fistula

  2. AV graft

  3. Vascular access catheter

Hemodialysis treatments usually last three to five hours and are performed three times per week. This kidney dialysis treatment can be done at a hospital or dialysis center. The duration of the treatment can vary on how much waste is present in your body and health condition. Karma Ayurveda Patient Reviews

Peritoneal dialysis

Peritoneal dialysis involves surgery to make access to the abdomen. A catheter tube is inserted that filters the blood through the peritoneum, a membrane in your abdomen. During the treatment, a fluid called dialysate flows into the peritoneum, which collects the waste in the kidneys. Once the process is done, dialysate is taken out of the bloodstream, it is drained from the abdomen. This process takes a few hours and needs to be repeated done multiple times per day. The only advantage of peritoneal dialysis is that the process can be carried out while you are sleeping or awake.

Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)

This treatment is suitable for people with acute kidney failure. CRRT is also called hemofiltration. In this process, a machine has tubing that that filters and removes the waste and fluid. Later on, the blood is then loaded into the body along with the replacement fluid.

CRRT can be done 12 to 24 hours per day, generally every day. Is Karma Ayurveda Fake

Are there any risks associated with dialysis?

Kidney dialysis treatment can have multiple risk factors, such as:

  • low or high blood pressure

  • anemia

  • difficulty sleeping

  • muscle cramping

  • itching

  • high blood potassium levels

  • pericarditis

  • sepsis

  • bacteremia

  • heart palpitations

  • sudden cardiac death

Is there any alternative treatment for dialysis?

Yes, kidney dialysis treatment can be treated with an alternative approach and that is Ayurveda. Ayurveda helps to restore kidney function by way of herbs and spices and no allopathic treatment can help bring the original function of the kidneys. Dialysis is just a substitute for kidney functioning and not measures to prevent renal failure completely.
